The 52-meter MV Koon9 is a custom-built, steel-hulled Similan, Surin, and Phi Phi Island liveaboard. Offering two-day, one-night trips from June to September at Phi Phi Island and one-day trips with liveaboard from October to May to some of the best Similan dive sites, as well as Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, and Koh Tachai.

All cabins have air conditioning. Cabins are private ensuites with hot water, charging ports, fresh towels, and ample storage space. There are also eight bathrooms with hot water at the back of the boat. We provide you with eco-friendly products to use in the bathrooms, so we do not pollute the reefs around the islands. The boat is equipped with all the necessary safety features, including emergency oxygen and an extensive first aid kit, as well as a life raft, life jackets, and fire extinguishers.

The upper deck of the boat has an indoor saloon with air conditioning, sofas, and an entertainment system. On the same level, you will find the dining area, where all our delicious meals are served. All food is served buffet-style and includes both local Thai dishes and western food. Don’t miss out on our freshly brewed coffee, which is a favorite among coffee lovers. Cookies, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and drinking water are available all day. On the top level of the boat, you will find our huge sundeck, which is partly covered, and comfortable mattresses to relax on in between the dives.

The MV Koon9 has a very experienced 15-boat crew and a captain with experience in the Andaman Sea. The tour leaders are all Similan veterans with multiple years of experience working with us; they are so experienced that you can dive in knowing you are in good hands. Our instructors and divemasters are local Thais and various western dive professionals, all experienced tutors and dive guides.

M/V Koon9 Liveaboard takes great pride in the huge dive platform located at the back of the boat, which boasts a wide and spacious kitting up area on two levels, 2 exit ladders with 2 freshwater showers to rinse yourself or your equipment after diving, and also 4 large buckets with fresh water for rinsing cameras and personal dive equipment.
