The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course is one of the specialties required to learn to become a Dive Guide, and the Dive Master is ideal for divers looking to hone their skills in helping others. and deal with problems that arise with divers including in the event of various emergencies both underwater and on the water surface
The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations.
We recommend to take this course only when you have gained more experience in diving, or have attended at least the Advanced Adventurer course. You will also need to have a first aid certification not older than two years and an emergency oxygen provider’s certification, but these you can also gain with us.
Who can take this course?
Minimum age 15 years, Open water diver certified, SSI React right first aid certification or equivalent
If you clear the medical questionnaire with only “NO” answers, you can sign up. Please consult your physician if you get any “YES” answers before diving
